Larissa Jekimovics

Larissa has a background in state government and academia, collaborating with communities, and across private and public sectors.

Larissa has an extensive experience working in policy and project design, implementation, and evaluation, with over ten years’ working in both the Tasmanian and Victorian state governments. She has worked on several highly visible taskforces in state government, with significant experience in high-profile and sensitive work environments. Most recently Larissa has worked at the Community Crime Prevention Unit within the Department of Justice and Community Services where she was researching, developing and implementing evidence-based policy and programs. Larissa spent a year at Victoria University, where she co-developed a suite of courses for the university’s Graduate Certificate in Crime Prevention – the first of its kind in Australia- underpinned by the evidence base for prevention, social and community-based techniques, and how undertake inclusive crime prevention through environmental design.
