Nareeda LewersSenior Adviser, Research and Advocacy
Nareeda is an experienced lawyer who has represented highly vulnerable and marginalised people.
In addition to her significant experience as an advocate in the Magistrates’ and County Courts in the area of criminal law, Nareeda has expertise in providing legal support in the context of problem solving/solution focused courts. She also has a strong background in legal research and policy, and has published peer-reviewed research in the areas of family law and interdisciplinary practice.
Nareeda joined the CIJ to coordinate the Restorative Justice Conferencing Pilot Project and is centrally involved in the CIJ’s ongoing work in the area of restorative justice. She also provides research support across a number of the CIJ’s projects.
