In a case of 2020 déjà vu, RMIT social work and law students once again found themselves completing remote placements during Victoria's COVID restrictions. Our partners Youthlaw and LACW continued to provide career defining (or could be life-changing) opportunities for these students.
In light of the COVID-19 restrictions, the six social work students at the Mental Health Legal Centre, Law and Advocacy Centre for Women and YouthLaw have since experienced the most unconventional placement within community legal centres to date.
The CIJ's first multidisciplinary taster placement took place at the Child Witness Service, the Intermediaries Pilot Program and the Office of Public Prosecutions.
